1. Introduction and Who We Are

Welcome to AdventChores. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you", "your", "Game Master" or "GM") and AdventChores ("we", "us", "our", "AdventChores"). By creating an account or using any part of the AdventChores service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account or use the service.

AdventChores provides an online platform that enables parents and guardians to transform household chores and responsibilities into an interactive role-playing game for the children in their care. We call the platform the "Service" and the children who play "Adventurers". You, as the parent or guardian managing the game, are the "Game Master" or "GM".

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the AdventChores website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Notice. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, in which case "you" will refer to that organisation. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and AdventChores regarding your use of the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an AdventChores account. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are the parent or legal guardian of every Adventurer account you create. You may not create an account for a child who is not in your legal care. If we reasonably believe you are not the parent or guardian of a child, we may require additional verification and may suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements. You may not use AdventChores if you have previously had an account suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms.

4. Account Registration and Security

To use AdventChores you must create an account with accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (email address and password). You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. You may not share your account credentials with any other person; each account is for use by a single household. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including any activity by children or third parties whom you have authorised to use your account. Failure to comply with this section may result in immediate termination of your account.

5. Adventurer Accounts and Children's Use

As a Game Master you may create Adventurer accounts for children in your care. Each Adventurer account must be associated with a date of birth, which is required to pre-configure age-appropriate game content and to support child development research (see Section 14). You are responsible for all activity carried out under Adventurer accounts you create, including supervising the child's use of the Service. You must ensure that each Adventurer's display name does not contain the child's real name or any information that could be used to identify them outside of the Service. Adventurers may not create their own accounts; all Adventurer accounts must be created and managed by the GM.

6. The Game Master Role and Your Responsibilities

As a Game Master your role is to manage Adventurers, assign quests and chores, track progress, and run the game. You control which quests, maps, characters, and storylines your family engages with. You are responsible for ensuring that the content you direct Adventurers toward is appropriate for the children in your care. You may not attempt to add, modify, or redistribute any game content created by AdventChores outside of the normal use of the Service. You may not use the GM role to harass, discriminate against, or expose any Adventurer to harmful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content. Violations of this section may result in immediate suspension of your GM privileges or account termination.

7. Ownership of Game Content — Important

7.1 AdventChores Content. All quests, maps, map layouts, Non-Player Characters (NPCs), NPC dialogues, storylines, lore, artwork, visual assets, music, sound effects, world-building content, game mechanics, rule sets, algorithms, and any other content produced, published, or made available by AdventChores through the Service — whether visible to you or not — are and shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of AdventChores and its licensors. This includes, without limitation, all content in the core game, all downloadable or accessible quest packs, seasonal content, expansion content, and any content we add to the Service in the future. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use this content solely as part of your use of the Service, for the duration of your active subscription. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights in AdventChores content. You may not copy, redistribute, republish, sell, reverse-engineer, modify, or create derivative works from any AdventChores content outside of the normal use of the Service.

7.2 Your Characters. As a GM you may create Adventurer characters with names, brief descriptions, and custom traits. These character details belong to you. However, even these characters are created for use within the AdventChores platform and do not extend to any ownership of underlying game systems, lore, or content. AdventChores claims no ownership over the character names and descriptions you create.

7.3 Feedback. If you send us suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback about the Service ("Feedback"), we may use that Feedback without obligation to you, and you hereby assign to us any rights you may have in such Feedback.

8. Subscriptions and Paid Features

AdventChores may offer both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring periodic basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select) until cancelled. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law, or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to change our subscription fees at any time; any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle and will be communicated to you at least 30 days in advance. Failure to pay outstanding fees within 14 days of the due date may result in suspension of your account. You authorise us to charge the payment method you have on file for all fees associated with your subscription. If your subscription includes a free trial period, we will charge your payment method at the end of the trial unless you cancel before that date.

9. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use AdventChores to: (a) harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm any person, including any Adventurer; (b) impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity; (c) upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, offensive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable; (d) introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious code; (e) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network connected to the Service; (f) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or proprietary information of the Service; (g) use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our written permission; (h) circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security-related features of the Service; (i) share your account credentials with anyone outside your household; or (j) violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation. We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination, for any use that we believe violates these Terms or any applicable law.

10. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you generate within the Service, including Adventurer character names and descriptions you create. However, by submitting such content you grant AdventChores a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You represent and warrant that any content you submit does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party and is not otherwise unlawful. We do not endorse or guarantee any user-generated content and may remove content that violates these Terms at our discretion.

11. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, updates, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of material changes to the Service that significantly affect its functionality. We are not liable to you for any loss of data, business, or opportunities arising from scheduled or unscheduled downtime.

12. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies and local/session storage to operate the Service, maintain session state, authenticate users, and remember preferences. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled without making the Service unusable. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Feedback diagnostics are optional: if you tick "Include what I just did" on a feedback form, we attach the last 50 actions from that tab (control clicks, page names, API responses and errors) to help us reproduce the issue. We never include passwords, anything you type, or activity on other websites. This is off by default and only sent when you choose it; full details are in our Privacy Notice.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may integrate with, link to, or be integrated with third-party services, including payment processors, analytics providers, and infrastructure services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are governed solely by those third parties' own terms and privacy policies. We recommend that you review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party services you use in connection with AdventChores.

14. Data, Analytics, and Research

AdventChores collects gameplay events, session data, character progression information, quest completion data, and other usage metrics ("Gameplay Data") from your use of the Service. We use this data to operate the game, compute progress and rewards, generate family insights, detect fraud and abuse, and improve our Service. We may also use anonymised, aggregated Gameplay Data for research purposes, including sharing or selling anonymised datasets to academic researchers, research institutions, non-governmental organisations, and other approved third parties for child development, educational technology, and related research. This anonymised data will not include any information that could reasonably be used to identify you or your child, including but not limited to real names, email addresses, or specific locations. The anonymised data may include: Adventurer display names (which are pseudonymous), date of birth, age at time of play, gameplay events, quest completion rates, session duration patterns, and similar aggregate metrics. You can find full details of what we collect and how we use it in our Privacy Notice.

15. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; OR THAT THE SERVICE OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES ABOUT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT OR DATA PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ADVENTCHORE, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; AND (D) UNAUTHORISED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED POUNDS STERLING (£100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER. THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY EVEN IF ANY REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AdventChores and its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Service; (c) any content or data you submit through the Service; (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (e) any claim that an Adventurer account created under your management was used to harm another person or violate these Terms. We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defence of such claims.

18. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings within the Service, or by contacting us at support@adventchore.local. Upon termination, we will retain your account data as described in our Privacy Notice. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of any third party, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination: (a) your right to use the Service ceases immediately; (b) any outstanding fees remain due; and (c) we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Notice. Sections 7 (Ownership), 10 (User-Generated Content), 15 (Warranty Disclaimer), 16 (Limitation of Liability), 17 (Indemnification), 19 (Governing Law), and 22 (Contact) shall survive any termination of these Terms.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. You waive any objection to the jurisdiction of these courts on grounds of forum non conveniens or otherwise.

20. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Before commencing any formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least 30 days. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you agree that any claim or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by a reputable arbitration body in the United Kingdom, in accordance with its applicable rules. You acknowledge that by agreeing to arbitration you are waiving your right to a trial by jury. This arbitration clause does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in court to protect its intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, our business practices, or applicable law. If we make material changes we will notify you by posting the updated Terms in the Service and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Material changes will be communicated to you via email or a prominent notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must cease using the Service and cancel your account.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Notice and any other legal notices, policies, or guidelines published by us within the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and AdventChores regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, representations, and warranties, whether written or oral, regarding the Service.

Privacy Notice

1. Introduction

AdventChores is committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of the children in your care. This Privacy Notice explains what personal data we collect about you and your Adventurers, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we retain it, and what rights you have. It applies to all users of the AdventChores Service. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

2.1 Account data (Game Master / Parent / Guardian). When you create an AdventChores account we collect: your email address, a display name you choose, a hashed password, your full name (optional — provided for invoicing and receipt purposes), your address (optional — provided for invoicing purposes), and your phone number (optional — provided for account recovery and support). We do not collect your date of birth as part of account registration; however, as the GM you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

2.2 Adventurer data (children). When you create an Adventurer account for a child in your care, we collect: the Adventurer's chosen display name (which should be a pseudonym — not the child's real name), the Adventurer's date of birth (which is mandatory — see Section 4 for why), the Adventurer's hashed password (managed by you as GM), and the Adventurer's in-game actions, progress, quest completions, character attributes, and gameplay events generated during use of the Service.

2.3 Automatically collected data. When you use the Service, we automatically collect: device type and operating system, browser type and version, IP address (processed in pseudonymised form), session start and end times, pages accessed, and gameplay events and interaction data. We use this data to operate the game, detect errors, prevent fraud, and improve the Service. Optional feedback diagnostics are described in Section 2.5.

2.4 Cookies and similar technologies. We use strictly necessary cookies and local/session storage for authentication, session state and preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Optional feedback diagnostics are described in Section 2.5.

2.5 Optional feedback diagnostics. If you submit feedback and tick "Include what I just did (last 50 steps)", we collect the last 50 actions from that browser tab — control clicks, page names, API request paths/status/durations, and error messages — together with your feedback text and optional contact. We never collect passwords, anything you type, message contents, or activity on other websites. The data is used solely to reproduce and fix the issue you reported. Legal basis: your consent (the box is off by default); you can submit feedback without it. The page keeps a transient in-memory list for this purpose; it is not stored on your device or sent unless you opt in. For Adventurer accounts, the parent/guardian controls this in Account Settings → Privacy; when disabled, the actions option is unavailable. Attached actions are stored with the feedback and deleted with it under Section 9.

3. Why We Collect This Data (Purposes and Legal Basis)

We process your personal data and your Adventurers' personal data for the following purposes, under the following legal bases:

(a) Performance of contract. To create and maintain your account, authenticate you on each visit, provide the game mechanics and progression system, process subscriptions and payments, and provide customer support. Legal basis: performance of the contract between you and AdventChores.

(b) Explicit consent for children's data. To store and process your Adventurer's display name, date of birth, and gameplay data — which constitutes processing of data relating to children. Legal basis: your explicit consent, given when you create an Adventurer account and accept this Privacy Notice. You may withdraw this consent at any time by deleting the relevant Adventurer account from your dashboard. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

(c) Age-appropriate content pre-configuration. Your Adventurer's date of birth is required to automatically configure game content, difficulty settings, and quest complexity appropriate for your child's developmental stage. This is a core feature of the Service and cannot be provided without this data.

(d) Legitimate interests. To monitor and detect fraudulent or abusive use of the Service; to maintain the security and integrity of our systems; to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service; and to comply with our legal obligations. Our legitimate interests are balanced against your rights and we do not carry out processing on this basis where it would override your fundamental rights.

(e) Research and analytics. To conduct, support, and enable research into child development, educational technology, and related fields — including by sharing anonymised, aggregated datasets with academic researchers, research institutions, NGOs, and approved third parties (see Section 6 below).

(f) Optional feedback diagnostics. To reproduce and fix issues you report, using the last 50 actions from the reporting tab. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box (off by default); you may submit feedback without it.

4. Why Your Adventurer's Date of Birth is Mandatory

The Adventurer's date of birth is required for two reasons. First, it is essential to the operation of the game: AdventChores uses age-related parameters to pre-configure quest complexity, reward structures, and game pacing for each Adventurer. Without a date of birth we cannot provide an age-appropriate experience. Second, it enables anonymised child development research. Your Adventurer's date of birth — in combination with pseudonymised display name and aggregate gameplay metrics — allows researchers to study how children of different ages engage with chore-based gamification without identifying any specific child. We do not store the child's real name anywhere in the Service.

5. How We Protect Children's Data

Adventurers' data is treated with the highest standard of care. We do not knowingly collect personal data from any child outside of an Adventurer account set up by their parent or guardian. We do not use Adventurers' personal data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes of any kind. We do not display Adventurers' real identities or allow public visibility of individual Adventurer profiles. All Adventurer passwords are hashed. We comply with applicable child privacy legislation including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where applicable, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to the extent applicable to our operations.

6. Research Data Sharing and Sale — Anonymised and Aggregated Only

AdventChores may share or sell anonymised, aggregated research datasets ("Research Data") to academic researchers, universities, research institutions, non-governmental organisations, education technology evaluators, government bodies, and other approved third parties for the purpose of child development research, educational technology research, and related academic studies.

The Research Data shared or sold will always be anonymised and aggregated such that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any specific individual — including you, your child, or any Adventurer. Research Data includes only: pseudonymised Adventurer display names (which are themselves pseudonyms, not real names), anonymised date-of-birth bands (e.g., age ranges rather than exact dates), aggregate gameplay events and metrics, quest completion statistics, session frequency and duration patterns, and similar non-personally-identifiable metrics. Research Data will never include: real names, email addresses, IP addresses in identifiable form, specific addresses, or any data that could be used to trace, contact, or locate any individual.

Third parties who receive Research Data are subject to data use restrictions prohibiting re-identification of individuals. You can find out more about our research data practices by contacting privacy@adventchore.local.

7. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data or your Adventurers' personal data to advertisers or marketing companies. We share your data only with:

• Payment processors. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information (card details, billing address) is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your raw payment card details.
• Infrastructure providers. Our cloud hosting, database, and server infrastructure providers (who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements).
• Analytics providers. Trusted analytics services that help us understand how the Service is used. These providers are contractually restricted from using data for any purpose other than providing analytics services to us.
• Authorities. We will share your data with law enforcement, regulators, or other authorities where required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulation, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the safety of any person, or the integrity of the Service.
• Research partners. As described in Section 6, anonymised and aggregated Research Data may be shared with or sold to approved academic and research third parties.
• Support and workflow automation providers. Where we use an external support or workflow/LLM provider to triage feedback, we share only the feedback text and optional diagnostic actions (with email addresses and phone numbers redacted) under a data processing agreement.
• Successors. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a material part of our assets, personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of that transaction, subject to the requirements of applicable data protection law.

8. International Data Transfers

Your personal data and Adventurer data is processed primarily on servers located within the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area (EEA). Where we transfer data outside of the UK or EEA (for example, to a research partner located in the United States), we will ensure that the transfer is governed by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent legal mechanisms recognised by applicable data protection law.

9. Data Retention

Your account data and Adventurer data is retained for the duration of your active subscription. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data (including Adventurer data) from our live systems within 30 days. Backups of our systems are retained for a maximum of 90 days, after which they are overwritten. Anonymised, aggregated Research Data that has been shared with or sold to third parties cannot be recalled from those parties and is retained indefinitely in anonymised form. Your consent for the processing of Adventurer data (Section 3(b)) is valid until you withdraw it or delete the Adventurer account. Feedback, including any optionally attached actions, is retained while the report is open and for up to 12 months after it is marked resolved, after which it is deleted. Optional diagnostic action data is deleted with the feedback.

10. Your Rights Under GDPR / UK GDPR

If you are located in the UK or EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data and (where applicable) your Adventurers' data:

• Right of access. You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you and your Adventurers.
• Right to rectification. You may request that inaccurate personal data be corrected, and that incomplete personal data be completed.
• Right to erasure. You may request that we delete your account and all associated personal data. As described in Section 9, this will be actioned within 30 days. This right does not apply to data we are required to retain for legal compliance purposes or for anonymised Research Data already shared with third parties.
• Right to restriction of processing. You may request that we restrict processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (e.g., while a data accuracy dispute is being resolved).
• Right to data portability. You may request a machine-readable copy of your account data in a commonly used, structured format.
• Right to object. You may object to processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis. We will cease processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights, or where processing is for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
• Right to withdraw consent. Where our processing of Adventurer data is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the Adventurer account in question.
• Right to lodge a complaint. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK (ico.org.uk) or the relevant supervisory authority in your EU member state if you believe we have processed your data in violation of applicable law.

11. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data and Adventurer data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or destruction. These measures include: encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL; hashing of passwords using bcrypt; access controls restricting who can access personal data; regular security testing and vulnerability assessments; and staff training on data protection obligations. No method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; however, we are committed to maintaining appropriate safeguards proportionate to the risks associated with the data we process.

12. Cookies

We use the following categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies and storage. Required for the Service to function — session management, authentication, security, and UI preferences. These cannot be disabled without making the Service unusable.
• Optional feedback diagnostics. Off by default. If you tick "Include what I just did" on a feedback form, the last 50 actions from that tab are sent with your report to help us reproduce the issue. This is not used for advertising and does not track you across other websites.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can clear local/session storage through your browser settings; doing so will not prevent you from using the core functionality of the Service.

13. Children's Privacy — COPPA Notice

AdventChores complies with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age other than through Adventurer accounts set up by a parent or guardian. As a parent or guardian, you are in control of all data relating to Adventurer accounts in your care. You may review, correct, request deletion of, or refuse the further collection of your child's personal information at any time by contacting us at privacy@adventchore.local or by managing Adventurer accounts in your dashboard.

14. Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, the Service, or applicable law. When we make material changes we will notify you by posting the updated notice in the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Notice.
